Education Minister Liz Sandals has given the Toronto District School Board just weeks to spell out plans for closing Toronto public schools over the next three years. The Province considers these schools “underused”. TDBS Trustees and the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives strongly oppose this position. A report recently published by the CCPA challenges the government’s estimation of what it will cost to keep these schools open.
