York Community Report: News Now correspondent Haseena Manek is joined by Wendy Komiotis, executive director of the Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children known as METRAC. METRAC is a Toronto community based not-for-profit organization that works to prevent and eliminate violence against diverse women and youth. Many of you may know them as the organization that did the audit on York University to evaluate the ways the University is dealing with the high rates of sexual assault on campus. They will discuss sexual assault on the York campus and on other university campuses, the audit itself as well as METRAC’s recommendations.
