Trans* Remembrance Day Programming on CHRY

Wednesday November 20th:

On Nov. 20th, CHRY programmed specialized content that explored the struggles, contributions, and advancements of trans* and gender non-conforming folks in Canada and around the world.

Trans* Day of Remembrance allows us to commemorate the trans folks and gender non-conforming folks in our communities who are no longer with us. Throughout the day, we had in-depth discussions around barriers to trans health care, police brutality, trans misogyny, sex work and trans struggles with housing and working rights. We  also celebrated trans artists and enjoy an array of queer and trans music.

We honour trans remembrance and trans resilience on TDoR and every day!

Thanks to Womyn’s Word, PrOPIRGanda Radio, the Centre for Women & Trans* People, News Now and all contributors and guests for making an amazing day of radio.
