York Connection Report:  On Saturday June 1st The Harriet Tubman Institute & The Department of History at York University are hosting an event Performing Diaspora: The History of Urban Music in Toronto. Leana Lattanzio speaks with Francesca D’Amico,a representative from the event discussing about this upcoming Saturday’s full-day conference, which  is intended to examine the history of Toronto Hip-Hop and the contributions of African Canadians to the Canadian music industry.
